March 7, 20206 yr Hello, can anyone tell me how I can dictate which core(s) my GTN unit is utilizing? I read that it is possible but idk where to go to mess with those settings. The unit itself in the sim is very laggy but the actual Garmin Trainer is smooth as glass. So I’m thinking maybe it’s a CPU core thing...

March 8, 20206 yr Author Thanks Bert I figured it out. So I tried setting it to All cores, auto, physical cores, and still it’s laggy. It seems as though the GTN is fluid when I first load the aircraft but as soon as I pull up the 2D panel of the GTN, it slows down the frames for some reason. Plus whenever I pull up the 2D panel it’s super large in the screen and I have to manually make it smaller. Hmmmm
March 8, 20206 yr You can make the 2d popup any size you want... that is defined in the panel.cfg file for the airplane. Do you have multiple monitors.. or just the one? Bert

Can you please clarify "pulling up": is this displaying the panel popup window (in sim, as usual - like SHIFT+8) or 'detaching' a popup window (right click > detach)? Can you please also post the panel.cfg file and the RealityXP.GTN.ini file found in the aircraft folder? PS: make sure to use to copy/paste the file content in a 'spoiler' block (eye icon next to the font drop down)
March 11, 20206 yr In addition, you've never answered back in this discussion: Have you actually removed the DebugValue and LogTrainer entries in the RealityXP.GTN.ini? Did you try CpuAffinity = -2
