DC Designs Farnborough - what happened to it?

Featured Replies

I remember a news item on FSElite a year ago about a developer called DC Designs and their upcoming EGLF Farnborough package for P3D. However, I have not heard anything since. Does anyone know if this is still in development? It would be nice to have a good quality version of Farnborough in P3D.

According to his FB page, Farnborough is still on the radar, quote: "I will be releasing a number of airplanes and sceneries this year, and here is the first time that I’ve publicly outlined the road map for what I very much hope will become a popular line of products for flight simulation;

February 2020: Boeing F/A-18E, F & G Super Hornets for FSX, P3D, and X-Plane 11.

May 2020: Boeing F-15C, E and I “Ra’am” Eagles package for FSX, P3D and X-Plane 11.

July 2020: Concorde for FSX, P3D and X-Plane 11.

To be confirmed - September: Grumman F-14A and D Tomcats for P3D, and X-Plane 11.

Date to be determined: Farnborough Airport for FSX, P3D, X-Plane 11

Date to be determined: Blackbushe Airport for FSX, P3D, X-Plane 11"

Timeline for DC Designs products has been shifted a bit. DC Designs is essentially one person with a few volunteer helpers, and with FS 2020 coming, he's been considering the impact of that too. Anyway, here is a timeline for DC designs products:

February 2020: Boeing F/A-18E, F & G Super Hornets for FSX, P3D, and X-Plane 11. (came out last week and is on sale at Just Flight)

Date to be determined: Blackbushe Airport for FSX, P3D, X-Plane 11

I thought you were a bid fan of UK2000 airfields, I don't do GA much myself only for testing airports and scenery.

I do have the UK2000 VFR Airfields packages installed, but I rarely fly to any of the airfields. The larger airports are a bit too basic for me these days, but I would certainly visit the smaller airfields if I decided to get the A2A Cherokee and Comanche out of the hangar again. EGLF Farnborough is one of those larger airports that needs a lot more detail before I would be prepared to fly my PMDG 737 there.....and that's why I am interested in the progress of the DC Designs version.
