April 4, 20206 yr Hi all, I've just installed a replacement Saitek Pro Yoke and can't get the PTT button to respond to P2ATC. I've gone into the config utility, captured the PTT switch and when I use it the green "PTT" box on P2ATC is highlighted but doesn't switch off. In other words the transmission is stuck "on". If I click on the PTT box it will disconnect and the voice command will be processed normally. Can someone tell me what's gone wrong? Cheers Warwick
April 4, 20206 yr Commercial Member Sounds like the PTT button is sticking. Try setting up a different button and see how it behaves. Regards, Dave
April 5, 20206 yr Author Yep, looks like you were right, Dave. Which really peeves me since it's an out-of-the-box new yoke and I really don't want to have to send ANOTHER one back! Sheesh! Warwick
April 6, 20206 yr Send it back and get a Honeycomb Alpha, you wont regret it. Yes it's more expensive but the build quality, extra buttons and start switch make it worth it. Cheers, Andy.
April 8, 20206 yr Author G'day Andy, I've been seriously looking at the Alpha but am planning on waiting until they release their throttle quadrant later this year. I use the Saitek switch panel etc so that gives me plenty of buttons and I 'm generally happy with the yoke. It'll do for now and I'll do a major upgrade of my hardware in Q3. Cheers Warwick
