RealAir Duke(s) Still a joy.

Recommended Posts

Back on FSX:Steam more during this lock down. Since Sim flying around 1998 I've logged 1400+ hours in GA props from Piper Arrow to 421/441.  Have several (mostly) Carabeao A/C's have many likes and dislikes about each one with favorite being the 310R. But since the night flying requires having the dome light on I switch to the Pipers and beech's for night flight. However, I dusted off and pulled chocks from the RealAir Duke the other day and was reminded how well behaved and near perfect these aircrafts are. Everything works. Ground handling is a breeze. all the buttons and switches are legible and easy to manipulate. Kudos to the RealAir guys for making such an outstanding product!

The RealAir Turbine Duke v2 (TDv2 for short), is still my go-to general aviation twin for flights with distance requiring more than 2 hours enroute, when I have more friends along, when I want to get there quick, or when I have to climb to above 18,000 to get above the clouds for the flight.

That is more than half of my flights......

What will I do with the advent of MSFS 2020?

Exactly - I hope that they remain working for P3Dv5. It will be a sad day when they will no longer run - the finest GA aircraft ever made for flight sims in my book.

The Real Air Dukes, although they have been around for some time, have set the gold standard for GA aircraft and continue to do so to this day IMHO.
