P3D V5 loading time

Featured Replies

When I had v4.5 with all my AI and other stuff installed my load time was about 4-6 minutes. I don't have anything installed in v5 yet so what do you think my load time will be when I get stuff installed in v5?

On the SODE pop up issue at start-up, I have pop ups from imaginesim katl and numerous mkstudios sceneries.  Imaginesim responded that they are aware and working on a fix, I have not heard from my studios yet.

In terms of loading time to the scenario screen, I have found it shorter than v4 so far.  I’m cautious in saying that though because of course I don’t have all of my scenery loading yet (I think that drives up loading times?)

I would say though, when I added AIG OCI traffic, that didn’t increase load times by as much as I thought it would.

It would be great if p3d didn’t feel the need to do whatever it does for each scenery file/AI traffic file...particularly those that haven’t changed.  I’m not really sure what p3d does when it loads up so I’m definitely aware that I likely have no idea what I’m talking about 🙂
