April 24, 20206 yr Author INTERESTING!! Just seen this on youtube regarding the New Zealand CAA and not the UK Campaign Against Aviation Absolutely ludicrous decision by the authorities IMHO. April 24, 20206 yr Haha Bruce Simpson has been making a bit of money on the side with his YT clickbait for years! What he is harrumphing about is that the CAA forgot about the modellers when they ruled “no recreational flying”. Technically you can’t fly a paper dart, I guess. But the Ministry relies on Kiwis having a bit of sense, and say so: Please use good judgement and remember the aim … is to keep people physically at home and separated from other people. The lockdown rules are there to free up emergency services, so you mustn’t do dangerous stuff. Flying, boating etc. It’s also working: with a little luck CV19 could be eradicated in NZ. The country will be broke, but we will still be here. And, I’m delighted that the local airfield will stay closed, means I can fly my drone without worrying about some daft learner pilot breaking it! There’s a true story there, perhaps for another day.
