April 25, 20206 yr Hi all Re: P3D V5 Has anyone with a 1080Ti applied any graphics settings to the NvidiaCP and if they have been beneficial for you would you mind sharing they settings profile is? I'm getting some shimmering at airports even with 2 x SSAA. I used NCP quite successfully in the past but can't remember the settings I applied (or at least which settings made the most difference) thanks Erich Edited April 25, 20206 yr by ErichB
April 25, 20206 yr Hi, Since the last week, I noticed that modifications via NCP are not taken in account, but with NVidia Profile Inspector: yes. If you want some settings for a 1070 - 8 Go, there are mines: With NCP (in French sorry): With NVidia Profile Inspector: I am trying also to use MFAA (actived) for solve some flieckering on horizontal lines . April 25, 20206 yr LM changed something in HF2 that completely fixed shimmering in 4.5 for me. That change does not seem like it made the trip to v5. Prior to HF2, I had to use NI and make several changes to get v4.5 looking good. After HF2, I didn't need to adjust anything at all in NI. I have also noticed that the NCP settings seem to have no impact in P3D in the last 2 or 3 Nvidia drivers. Even if you change the P3D profile nothing seems to change inside the sim. Fortunately, the default settings have been working perfectly for my 2080Ti and I really don't want or need to change any settings. v4.5 looks absolutely stunning. In v5, I'm seeing the shimmering that I saw in 4,5HF1, which I believe is what you are addressing here. I used NI as shown above to modify the P3Dv5 profile and made 1 change that seems to have fixed the issue in the limited testing I have done so far. I changed 'Antialiasing - Transparency Supersampling' to "8x Sparse Grid Supersampling". That was it. The shimmering seems to be fixed. I didn't even look at any of the other settings.
