June 6, 20205 yr Hi, I've been using the FS2crew on the bus a few weeks now and there do seem to be a few quirks when compared to the PMDG versions. The main one appears to be during the preflight events, if I have the aircraft configured for a turn around. Most often the pnf will turn off the Apu, even though it's already on, and also he seems to disconnect the GPU, but then continue to press buttons as if he just connected it - this behaviour isn't the same in the PMDG FS2crew modules, which seem to be more aware of what they are doing. Is this a bug? Or is there some procedure or setting I should be doing so that I can power up the plant and then let the pnf perform his preflight procedures? Thanks, James W James W
June 6, 20205 yr Commercial Member Hi James, The Labs version is pretty mature now; I don't think there are any real bugs in it. From the manual... sorry for the bold... that's how I wrote it in the manual 🙂 PANEL STATES: We strongly recommend that you only use the stock FSLabs A320 panel states. IMPORTANT: AFTER LOADING THE PANEL STATE FILE, DO NOT MANUALLY CONNECT POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT IF USING THE FS2CREW PRE-FLIGHT EVENTS. LET THE FS2CREW PILOT SET EVERYTHING UP FOR YOU OTHERWISE FS2CREW COULD WIND UP ‘TURNING OFF’ YOUR POWER SOURCE. THIS IS BECAUSE CERTAIN SWITCHES CANNOT BE READ IN THE PLANE, SUCH AS THE STATE OF THE EXT AVAIL/ON LIGHT. Edited June 6, 20205 yr by byork B. June 6, 20205 yr Author Hi Bryan, Thanks for the super quick reply! So I take it there is no option for a true turnaround preflight then? Could I make a feature request? In real world ops, as I believe you've noted before it's very very rare a pilot will turn up to a cold and dark aircraft. Most times the plane has power connected, screens on, sometimes the ADIRU is still left aligned. Is it possible to have a 'turn' starting state, where the F/O will initially not touch the GPU or APU and performs the PF events without switching off the power source? Thanks, James James W
June 6, 20205 yr Commercial Member That's true. But you can use FSLabs "On GPU" or "On APU" panel state. FS2Crew will work with them. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
June 6, 20205 yr Author Hi Bryan, So if I use those panel states, the aircraft will start with ext power connected as if a turn? Thanks James W
June 6, 20205 yr Commercial Member Yes, it will start with the GPU or APU connected depending on which one you load. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
