(A serious question).....Doug I can't find the video anymore, Mentour Pilot talks a lot but it was in one of his videos. It was enough that a flight from Los Angela's to Sydney the aircraft computers would calculate the deviation, but not enough for regional flights. It was the first I heard of it but makes sense since computers are so accurate Edited June 10, 20205 yr by Matthew Kane Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me

I flew from L.A. to Sydney a couple of years ago and would have really hated it if we missed the airport - especially the runway 😄 . Thanks Matthew. September 3, 20205 yr Author A quick update. The pole to pole mission is still on track, though the speed is restricted by the fact that I need to have reached Palin's next destination in the book before I fly from the pervious one to that new location, and a) I'm slow reader, b) oher stuff gets in the way. Surfice to say I've just reachd Gonder (HAGN) in Ethiopa, having flown from Azaza Airport (HSGF) in Sudan, which Micheal calls Gedaref. That made it difficult to locate, but it turns out that FSX also calls that field Gedaref (the clue is in the ICAO code). For the record, I'm flying the vernable C172, the stock one with the dials, and I'm not using GPS, though I am using Tim Arnot's Plan G3 to create the flight plans.
