June 10, 20205 yr I have just rebuilt my PC with a new Motherboard, CPU, new 'C' drive SSD etc etc with new Windows 10 operating system on it. On my old 'C' drive which is still connected I had installed Microsoft Simulator x. Unfortunately I do not have the disks. SO when I open up my old 'C' drive I can look at the flight programme and when I click on the icon to run the programme it flags up two errors. Can anybody help me overcome this and get the programme to work again? Error 1 We're sorry, an unexpected error occurred which is preventing product activation from being completed ERROR CODE 1-800004005 Error 2 Unable to create default cache directory: 'C:\ProgrameData\Microsoft\FSX\SceneryCache Thanks

June 10, 20205 yr If you have no joy with the reinstall, perhaps D/L FSX-STEAM for a nominal one-time fee - it's almost hassle-free, and you would have FSX while you wait with the rest of of us for FS2020...
