Hi Byran,

I purchased the pmdg 747 button version a few days ago and i cant seem to get it to function.

I have read and tried every post of what to do to fix the issue but to no avail,uninstalling,deleteing

the 747 in the sim objects,i have even tried not updating my 747 to the lastest update still nothing

works.

I own the 737,777,787 and the Airbus FS2 Crew and they all work great its just the 747 SDK Error

everytime,any ideas.

Hi Gary,

Please do this if you haven't already done so:

1. Uninstall the PMDG 747.

2. Manually delete the left over PMDG 747 folders in the SimObjects Airplane folder.  That's very important.

3. This way you are totally clean and fresh.

4. Re-download the PMDG 747 via your PMDG account.  It's important you do it via your PMDG account.

5. Apply latest updates via the PMDG Ops Center.

6. Run the PMDG 747 at least once so the PMDG Options ini file can be created.

7. Exit the sim.

8. If all is good, re-install FS2Crew.

Thanks for the swift reply,i have done that numerous times after reading pervious threads about the issue,

all done in that order,my last try was not to update the 747 to the lastest version but to no avail.

Hmmmm, that usually clears it up.

FSX or P3D?

Ensure your anti-virus is excluding the FS folder.

You could just have a damaged Simconnect file.

If FSX, ensure not using saved situation file.  Avoid start-up managers.

Default plane on the free flight screen should always be a default plane.

FSX SE,the fsx folder along with anything associated with FSX is excluded from the windows anti-virus.

Even verifyed the FSX SE files which installs a fresh simconnect.

Trike is the default plane on the start up,no saved panel states in the 747.

Hi Bryan,

I managed to correct the SDK issue over the weekend,now that is up and running i was thinking about purchasing the PMDG 747 800 expansion pack,

but reading through posts on here it seems that FS2 Crew will not work with it.Can you comfirm that FS2 crew will not work with the expansion pack in

FSX SE or is there a work around to make it work.

How did you correct the SDK error?

Correct, the FSX version doesn't work with the 8 model.

You have to modify your panel.cfg to make it work and comment out unused windows.

I corrected the SDK issue by unistalling all my PMDG aircraft,737,777,747 then deleting anything that had reference to PMDG, folders etc.

I then reinstalled all my aircaft updated them all,that seemed to do the trick.

Comment out unused windows in the panel cfg,what exactly does that entail ive never heard that before.

You didn't need to delete the 777 and 737 folder.

The problem was with your 737.

At any rate, glad you got it sorted.  I knew the clean re-install would have worked.

Send me your panel.cfg file for the 400 and 8 model... I'll make the mod for you.

 

Problem was with the 747 not the 737 but yeah all sorted now.

I havent purchased it yet i held off until i make sure FS2 crew would work along side it,

ill probably purchase it this evening after work,ill send you both panel cfg then.
