June 24, 20205 yr You have at least three options... 1. Lock fps within P3D 2. Use nvida NCP to limit fps 3. Use RTSS to lock at X/2 refresh rate (which is what I use..) Edited June 24, 20205 yr by Bert Pieke Bert

I usually cut the FPS from a second monitor when necessary and release my grip when the scene gets easier. In jurisprudence, there is a principle - you look for the person who benefits.

The other two are set before starting P3D, and are not changeable in flight. Bert
June 25, 20205 yr To add, using the built in frame rate monitor of P3D will not work using the last 2 options. It will in fact show the performance of "how" P3D is running. Ex. P3D could be humming away internally at 45+ fps but when it is sent to the vcard it is then limited by NCP or RTSS, perhaps at your requested frame rate (30?) . Use the built in frame rate monitor to monitor the health of the sim itself. Use an external frame rate monitor to monitor the combination of both the sim health & any additional vcard settings thru NCP/RTSS. FS RTWR SHRS F-111 JoinFS Little Navmap
