June 25, 20205 yr What if my aircraft is the outside position, but I want to turn the camera so that I can see what's behind me, for example. The problem is that I can't do anything but look at the aircraft. Gary How does Moses make his coffee? Hebrews it. I took the shell off my racing snail, thinking it would make him run faster. If anything, that made him more sluggish. Gaz on Facebook
June 25, 20205 yr Moderator switch to locked spot view ( pressing the S key) and then pan around. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
June 25, 20205 yr Author That would be terrible as I would have to modify that aircraft's ChasePlanes to match to departure/destination points. I just want to quickly the camera to look at anything. It used to be easy on previous versions. How does Moses make his coffee? Hebrews it. I took the shell off my racing snail, thinking it would make him run faster. June 25, 20205 yr I'm a little confused by your wording, but are you asking if you can create a tail cam that points to the six o'clock position? If so, it sounds like you have Track Camera turned on in your ChasePlane view.
June 25, 20205 yr Author Your description of what I want is more complicated than what I need: I just want to be standing somewhere and be able to look at something other my aircraft. I might need to be 'attached' to my aircraft - I want to be able to look at the virtual aircraft door, or to the control panel. I just want to look anywhere from an outside position. June 25, 20205 yr Moderator Well, if the OUTSIDE position is the locked spot you can just pan. It doesn't get any easier. If you have dedicated cameras set up for various outside views that would be different depending on how you have set up the panning. But panning is the opnly way you are going to be able to move around and look unless, as Alex said, you want to c rteate a dedicated camera. If I set ChasePlane to be outside the plane and be looking from outside the plane, I can only look forward, so I can see the plane. I can't say that I want to be behind the plane but take on a 90° view. How does Moses make his coffee? Hebrews it. I took the shell off my racing snail, thinking it would make him run faster. June 26, 20205 yr May sound snarky but i would start with reading the chase plane manual. System: i9 [email protected] - 32 GB RAM - Aorus 1080ti --- Sim/Addons: P3D v5 + ProSim737
June 26, 20205 yr Firstly it would have helped if you had said you was using Chaseplane in your OP and or in the title. Secondly, with Chaseplane you can set any view and angle you wish from an outside view You need to learn how to use the program. Read the manual like Joe said.
