X-Plane will not start

Featured Replies

Good day

I have been getting this error message every time I start my x-plane then it shuts down. I have reinstalled 3 times still getting same message . No joy to start x-plane at all. Here is the error message

x-plane tried to load a texture that you do not have

this probably indicates you need to reinstall X-Plane.
the missing file is : Resources/ bitmap/world/moon.png

then I get the same for sun glow

I was using X-plane few days ago no issues at all I tried this weekend but these errors came . I did reinstall X-Plane 2 times but same error. I am using latest X-plane 11.35 .

thanks for any assistance

Run the X-Plane updater.exe found in the X-plane root directory, it will scan and find any missing files and install them.

Was your 'Log.txt' any more specific?

I hope someone is still watching this thread. I have exactly the same problem all of a sudden.

I have the STEAM version and have validated xplane files three time with no success. Everything was flawless yesterday and then today it crashes. NOTHING has changed on my computer since yesterday.

Log.txt gives no more information other then missing files.

or the files got corrupted, this happened to me one time.

Delete the offending files, and run the installer again (I am not sure how that works with the steam version).
