June 30, 20205 yr This eco-friendly Saturday Flight is 99% recycled from the one done in December 2017. Samoa – South Seas Sojourn We fly to all of the airports in Western Samoa and American Samoa. Starting from Asau (NSAU) in the west we will land at six airports finishing at Fitiuata (FAQ) on the eastern most island of Ta’u. Flightplan & Pilots Guide: Available here. Aircraft: The route is 212 miles, so we should take a plane that cruises with about 140 KIAS. The most common aircraft used in Samoa are the de Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter, the Dornier DO228, and the Brittan Norman BN-2 Islander. These are all good choices but as always you are free to fly what you like. Recommended scenery: Orbx NSTU Pago Pago International Airport (includes all of the islands and seven airports) Particulars: Date and time: Saturday December 16, 2017, 19:00 UTC Saturday July 4, 2020 18:00 UTC Where: AVSIM RTWR Teamspeak - Casual Flights Channel Teamspeak Server Address: ts.teamavsim.com Cross-Platform Multiplayer: JoinFS. June 30, 20205 yr Mmm, BN-2 Easy on the stress trigger indicator, yep, I'll take that. 😜 The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
July 4, 20205 yr One nice thing about this flight is that we shall arrive at our destination long before we take off from the departure airport. This will save many hours of our personal time. --Mike MacKuen

July 4, 20205 yr HI36, TAU... Does this field show for you? According to LNM there is supposed to be a soft runway, 2710x100 feet, located due south of the airfield center I have tried everything, re downloaded/installed from ORBX, AEC on/of, meshes on/off, no other scenery active except ORBX, pulling hair etc.. All I have is trees and autogen, doesn't look like anything custom in the area. If you look at Google Earth, there is an airfield placement, but if you look closely it is all trees too. "Nada ting" there.. ? Although.. There is a very narrow road (wings will hit trees) to land on to the north of the airfield center - use that? FS RTWR SHRS F-111 JoinFS Little Navmap
July 4, 20205 yr Let Jeff decide here. I think that there is no intent to land there. (In the Orbx payware, there is a small heliport. But no landing strip suitable for fixed wing aircraft.) --Mike MacKuen
July 6, 20205 yr Jeff, Thanks for the excellent flight! ( again - heh 😂 ) An awesome revisit of a place worth going to more often. 👍 Photos just came back from K-Mart developing, of course on eco-friendly, 99% recycled glossy paper 😂 You can see the images here if wanted ⏩ https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5sjw1y8lhoqh8si/AACwwos7rMX_r9_yLOZpWgrqa?dl=0 Have a great week! July 6, 20205 yr Great flight and pictures. I'm sorry I had to leave early. I only had 2 minutes in the Twin Otter before Saturdays flight so yesterday I decided to read the manual. 🤠 Now that I understand how to control those engines and autopilot I'm going to fly it again and complete it. One of these flights I'll have all my ducks in a row at the beginning. 🦆 Ted [email protected] ghz, Noctua C12P CPU air cooler, Asus Z77, 2 x 4gb DDR3 Corsair 2200 mhz cl 9, EVGA 1080ti, Sony 55" 900E TV 3840 x 2160, Windows 7-64, FSX, P3dv3, P3dv4
