July 1, 20205 yr I recall this being a problem a while back but after reinstalling P3D v5 with the new HF, I'm getting these circles/rings around my aircraft at night. I'm running Orbx Global and LC North America. Verified files with Orbx. I am running EA clouds. Thoughts? Cheers, Rob. Thanks Rob. Not sure if these help, hard to capture these sometimes. It doesn’t appear to be weather related; tried with EA on/off, ActiveSky on/off, different weather themes but these still occur. If I take a screenshot straight up from the ground, it looks like a sky gradient that doesn’t fade in well. DR off and on didn’t seem to help either. upload image link Fort Lauderdale Executive (FXE) - PPL ASEL i9 12900k @ 5.2 - 32 GB DDR5 @ 6000 - 3080TI - W11
July 1, 20205 yr The fact that they are only clearly visible when you take a shot of your monitor instead of using the v key for an internal screenshot leads me to believe that your contrast and brightness settings are not set up correctly.
July 1, 20205 yr Nothing wrong with the screenshot, but there is color banding on camera shots. Everything looks very bright and overexposed on those so definitely a monitor calibration issue as suggested above.
July 1, 20205 yr Author Makes sense - thank you. I’ll check the monitor and see how I can get it calibrated. 👍 Fort Lauderdale Executive (FXE) - PPL ASEL i9 12900k @ 5.2 - 32 GB DDR5 @ 6000 - 3080TI - W11
July 1, 20205 yr If you are using an Nvidia graphics card, go into the control panel. Click Change Resolution on the left side, and then click the button that says "Use NVIDIA color settings" at the bottom of the panel on the right. Then, make sure that "Output Dynamic Range" is set to "Full" instead of "Limited". See what that does for you.
