July 2, 20205 yr HI all.. Back with another wonderful problem...and going crazy over it. I have Simsounds installed on my MAIN P3D PC, playing cockpitsounds as gear, spoilerwind etc. Problem is that when I run P3D, windows suddently reduces the sound for this APP, as well as PROSIM Audio. Pressing Q, and thereby muting P3D, the sounds comes up again. It is also visible on the soundvolume tabs, where I will see a outgreyed tab at the volume point I have set, and a normal tab at 0% sound. Pressing Q, the normal tabs moves to the point of "normal" volume, where there were a greyed out tab. I have searched and found some solutions, but non of them works. I have tried setting the communications auto-mute to "Do Nothing" and I have ticked the "Disable all sound effects", but still no luck. I have also tried deleting the P3D.cfg, as this has helped others, but also without any luck. Any suggestions? Thx for you help :-) /Bjarne Sorensen
July 2, 20205 yr A while back I had a similar problem and tracked it to a faulty Realtek driver installation. I deleted all sound drivers and devices and let Windows re-create them. That cured the problem. Maybe something similar will help you? Intel i7 6700K @4.3. 32gb Gskill 3200 RAM. Z170x Gigabyte m/b. 28" LG HD monitor. Thx for you help 🙂 /Bjarne Sorensen I had the same issue with Radar contact sounds and found a thread about a windows bug forcing to set communications auto-mute from "Do Nothing" to mute and then back to do nothing. This works for me but I have to do this after every computer restart. Will they ever fix this?? July 2, 20205 yr Quote A while back I had a similar problem and tracked it to a faulty Realtek driver installation. I deleted all sound drivers and devices and let Windows re-create them. That did it for me. I got back to running Pilot2ATC with P3dV5 and windows 10 2004. I went to gigabyte web site and they had realtek drivers updated for win10 2004. I use EditVoicePack to have AI ATC in the background with Pilot2ATC in for me. It works perfecly now.
