It will load the 'odb' file from here and all the others from GNSNAVDATA path or the default. 3) You have a new aviation DB file (new cycle) and you copy it here: C:\GNS_NAVDATA\worldwide_new.bin Use:GNSADBFILE= "C:\GNS_NAVDATA\worldwide_new.bin" This tells the GNS V2 where to find this file independently of the others. It will load the 'adb' file from here and all the others from GNSNAVDATA path or the default. This scheme permits you sharing the ’terrain db’ which seldom changes, and ‘override’ the ADB and ODB independently. NB: this works the same with the RXP GTN using GTNODBFILE and GTNADBFILE. HOW I can change where GNS V2 will look for database???? Manual says about Windows Enviroment something, I checked there and there's nothing about GNS. Apparently to update this product you need to be a computer technichian.......

There are additional and more-specific forums here for RXP FSX/P3D and RXP xPlane. And for each of those forum areas there are separate forums for GNS and GTN. Getting your question into the product-specific forum will get your question more looks and quicker responses. It might be a good idea to let us know why you wish to change the database location. A little understanding goes a long way. I keep my databases in the default location so I do not risk tripping up either the RXP products or the official Garmin Trainers that provide the foundations for the gauges. July 14, 20205 yr Hi, 23 hours ago, Tos123 said: HOW I can change where GNS V2 will look for database???? Apparently to update this product you need to be a computer technichian....... It depends. Should you just install and use the product, and let our installers and code logic do the rest for you, you pretty much only have to be a simmer because the only matter is using the product in the simulator. Likewise, if you want to tweak installation files and change how an application is running, sure enough, you rather be also a computer technician because these are computer matters dealing with computer files and operating system knowledge. Hopefully, for the most avid users wanting to go beyond simming without a computer degree, we also do offer simple to use facilities to manage the most out-the-sim needs you'd need with our products (like the environment variables you're referring to). So in turn and in addition to what Frank is saying, WHY would you even need to change where GNS V2 will look for database, so much so you're asking HOW to do it? Edited July 14, 20205 yr by RXP
