USA Physical Copy

Recommended Posts

Why are physical copies not available for US customers?  Has anybody seen or heard why.

The European DVD set is a very welcome initiative of Aerosoft not Microsoft. Ask your favorite US distributor to move its behind. It is a bit late but better late than never.

I would say the cost and hurdles of logistics in the current climate is playing a big role in it.

While I applaud Aerosoft for releasing a hard copy of the sim, and maybe my ignorance fuels my surprise,  isn't 10€ a steep surplus just for burning DVDs?

@canadiantree You do get a printed manual too. Plus they have to make a margin to run the website, warehouse, distribution, packaging as a well as the production. It's a nice option for those with poor connectivity or would just prefer a physical copy.

Physical games generally aren't that popular on PC these days as digital's usual cheaper, just look at FSX on Steam versus Amazon, or the Aerosoft physical release as examples, and it's obviously more convenient,. Hell, it's pretty normal for PCs to lack disk drives these days due to how prevalent digital is. Add to that MSFS being pretty niche, and being much more expensive to make physically due to how many bloody disks you need it's pretty understandable why MS don't want to foot the bill.
