VoxATC help

EDIT: The Google imagery is newer. There are now only two runways 08-26 and 06-24 (which appears to have been resurfaced), so I'll go with that design and create a new ADE file to test. The most recent online terminal chart is from Nav Canada and is effective 16 July 2020.

Creating ADE files is what stops me from buying the latest VOXATC yet. I don't know..

Thanks.

I'm following these threads here and I'm somewhat surprised, because Pilot2ATC seems to work very well nowadays avoiding most of the VOXATC's snags. I went through the current VOXATC manual and I couldn't find any serious differences in phraseology. I'm using P2A on a networked PC, all works quite well.

Therefore, Jay, I need some motivation if possible for getting current VOXATC (that I used to like so much in the past). Could you or somebody knowledgeable point me to what is not available in P2A that VOXATC has and perhaps some other VOXATC's advantages.

Thansk!

Don't get me wrong, I'm just trying to figure out what I'll get with buying VOXATC. And I don't really want to attract attention with this posting it separately. As I've mentioned I used to like VOXATC a lot.

Thanks,

Hi Dirk,

Keep in mind this is a rare example where an airport isn't working for me for some reason, and Jay is helping troubleshoot by editing the stock airport in ADE to see if there's something VoxATC doesn't like.

For every other flight I take, VoxATC works perfectly, no tweaks necessary.

What I like most about VoxATC is that it creates and controls the AI aircraft, so you are not alone in communicating with the tower, and often have to line up and wait for traffic and interact with traffic enroute.  This is what sets VoxATC apart for me.  That combined with IFR/VFR and US and EU phraseology, it really is a best-in-class product.  With excellent performance in P3Dv5 and a promised future update, I'm sticking around!

Thanks,

sg

Rare example? Really rare? D A M N it, I'm buying.

I hope it will work where I fly mostly: UK, Benelux and Germany with the known add-on airports..

Cheers.

I fly mainly in the US, but others can comment on how well it works with addons in the EU.

I've had to tweak some.of my uk2000 airports to work with better AI movements. The edits aren't too hard and only need to be done once.

Forward development of Vox is currently ongoing, which I'm not sure can be said for a other ATC apps.

the killer selling point for me is the degree of procedural accuracy (Cap413 compliant) and that it's the only app that generates and confront AI too, delivering additional immersion as you need to listen to and watch out for those pesky AI as well, just as in rl!
