And it started mostly because some people didn't know what Xbox Game Pass is and how it works.

There was no conspiracy theory but arguments exchanged back and forth. And there were good arguments on both sides. MS was rather ambiguous (purposely  ? Now that is a conspiracy theory) and let them run wild.

And it was not only in Avsim, all the forums I know have had these discussions 😉.
