Good day all.

Trying to figure out what is the best or correct screen resolution I should set in P3D (v5) in my case.

I have 3 monitors in surround mode. Screen resolution in Nvidia control panel is 5920x1080. Resolution in P3D is the same. Are these two resolution settings should match? I changed resolution in P3D to a lower value but I did not see any visual or performance differences.

Thanks for looking.

If you divide 5920 by 3 the result is 1973.333. That’s unusual. Assuming you have three 1920*1080 monitors I’d be inclined to change it to 5760*1080.

There is an option in Nvidia CP to set custom resolutions. See if it will take the one I suggested. I’m not sure what the “bezel corrected” means.

I presume the OP has added bezel correction in the nvidia Surround setup. This will create a custom resolution with extra horizontal pixels to go 'under' the joins between the screens. Looks like 2 x 80 pixels in this case, which would be about right. So yes, tht's the resolution to choose.

Thanks for the reply.
bezel correction is an option in Nvidia control panel. When you use surround lines inside monitors may not be lined up with the senter monitor. Like if you are sitting in the VC and looking at cockpit windows you may see that FOs window may be shown in right monitor and in the center monitor at the same time.  But the spot where the FOs window transitions from right monitor to the center you may see the window edges won’t be aligned with the center monitor, like shifted. Bezel correction fixes such issue. It just move s the whole image in that monitor up or down so the whole image across all monitor will lol like one without distractions.

Nvidia has 5760*1080 in the menu as recommended and with bezel correction. Not sure why it created 5920

Also, what resolution do I have to set inside P3D display settings? Should it be the same as in Nvidia?

The setting inside P3D is only significant if you are in full screen mode, in which case yes, you want it to be the bezel-corrected one. I don't think bezel correction can have any meaning in windowed mode.

I am presuming your monitors are 3 x 1080p. That's 5760 wide with no bezel correction. When you set up bezel correction, note how many pixels it adds (the setup wizard shows you). You have two bezels. so it adds this number of pixels twice. In your case it seems it has added 160 (2 x 80) pixels. Hence the bezel-corrected width is 5920 x 1080. This is the one to choose - the video driver calculates an image of this size and displays it as if two colums of pixels, each 80 x 1080 pixels wide, were hidden by the bezels. Of course really it just throws those pixels away and shows you the rest of the image in the correct positions.
