Realtek Sound Drivers, that long to download?

Featured Replies

Is this for real, forgive the pun? A 252 Mb sound drivers download from Realtek's website taking more than an hour an half? On a 50Mbps broadband? Unbelievable!

Any other site that takes so long to download?

It's been that way for at least 3 weeks.  Not sure why.

NOTE: It's always better to download and use audio drivers specific to your motherboard, which you'll find in the download section of your motherboard's website.  I have seen the Realtek installer do strange things to older systems, including not working.

Wow! I just created a new boot SSD in prep for MSFS and my sound was not working except through my moniitor (HDMI) .  I DL the Realtek driver set I needed, but did so from the Gigabyte site as that is the brand MB I have.  Went very quick and brought my sound to live.
