August 3, 20205 yr I can't find any vids showcasing the GNS GPS, does this mean that the default 150 will not and can not have a GPS ? Ryzen 5 5600X - Noctua U12A, 32Gb Vengence, Sapphire Pulse 5700xt, WD Black SN750 NVMe SSD

August 3, 20205 yr The old Cessna 172 should have a GNS unit. It's a 10 year plan so I have a feeling there will be older aircraft with traditional avionics. MSFS

It doesn't....there was a very early screenshot where it did but it longer seems to have it (based on latest screenshots). I suspect because Garmin only wants MS to show their latest and greatest avionics in the sim or because MS decided it was not worth the hassle to maintain the older looking GPS.

There will be two versions of the 172 in the release version of MSFS. The default 172 will have a G-1000 glass cockpit. If you purchase one of the higher level (more expensive) versions of the sim, it will also include an older version of the 172 with analog instruments and an emulation of the GNS-430. (Based on screenshots). The default 172 is a fuel injected model. I think (but am not certain) that the analog 172 will model an older aircraft with a carburetor. The MSFS 152 is supposed to emulate a typical flight school trainer, and I don’t believe it will have any kind of GPS.
