I think White House is missing.

Actually it’s not missing. It’s there on the sim, but it’s a generic building modeled by the AI.

It’s just not a handmade model. But I believe it will be eventually added to the sim in a future World Scenery Update. Those updates are expected to happen every 3 months.

Great opportunity for MS or third party add-ons:

World Landmarks Vol. 1, 2, 3...

That’s what I think. Orbx would make big money releasing this kind of product.

MS already said their focus is to build the World as automated as possible, using the AI and data sources as Bing. But I’m sure they will intervene here and there manually, like they’ve been doing with some landmarks and airports.

But in general, a 3rd party would fit really nice if it decides to develop products with landmarks and important POIs for the whole World.

I agree, @ca_metal. I know the list would be in debate, but I would like to see Asobo eventually include the "very top" major POIs not covered by photogrammetry included in the base sim. Seems like DC has been strategically excluded from photogrammetry coverage even in Google. I realize I'm biased as an American, but the major DC monuments and buildings would fall in the list for me. And I realize that there are soooo many other very prominent buildings all over the world that would fall into the "very top" list ... so, yeah. Prime space for 3rd parties to produce some content.

Hey Asobo,

As  French we should be biased too to see DC properly done, after all the city was originally designed by Pierre Charles L'Enfant,  a French military engineer and architect 😀. He rests in Arlington Cemetery (if my memory serves me well).

And I fully expect it includes the Mall cherry trees, right size please and blossoming at the right time of the year 🌸 😇 .

I doubt DC won't get some more landmarks soon. For some reason they didn't included more landmarks for the city yet, but like I said, they will do it soon, I'm sure.
