But I can't see my house.....................

Featured Replies

I remember the first time I sat down in a Level-D simulator (Southwest 737-700). I could hardly believe the way the outside world looked. Sort of like a twilight scene from FS3. How in the  world can real-world pilots train in anything that won't let them see their house I thought? Good heavens. (I shudder to think about the Link trainer days.) I figured that must just be some sort of simulator that is used only by a low-cost airline. And then I sat down in a 747-400 Level-D at United. Wow, it was soooooo much better. Instead of some lousy twilight scene that looked like something from FS3 I had a beautiful early morning scene that looked just like FS5. So, I'm flying United from now on because their pilots train in the daylight. United knows that flight simulation is all about what you can see, and not so much about all that other technical stuff...........Doug

Thats exactly why X-Plainers shouldn't care about errors in graphics that pop up here and there with MSFS using satellite imagery and all. They would be happy with FS98 graphics (or equivalent) as long as they have that perfect flight model XP has..

ASUS Prime Z490-A / i7-10700K / RTX 4080 / G.SKILL Ripjaws 32GB / Lian-Li PC-O11 Dynamic case

This argument that XP11 has a better flight model than MSFS is unproven at this time. It's the hope XP11 word not allowed are holding on too because everything has been obliterated. IT won't take long before the first 3rd party aircraft comes us and just blow the myth away for good.

If anyone wants to compare the flight models of XPlane, P3D and MS Flight, and see if that XPlane claim holds any water, check this video of mine out from timestamp 22:30 onward, where I compare three of the same aeroplane type (Boeing Stearman), in those three sims:
