August 16, 20205 yr Hi, I may have a really stupid question, but I really love playing FS2020. But I'm not good at it at all. Are there also modes that you can fly 'easily'? So that I can still play the game without any skills? Greets Slappo
August 16, 20205 yr All the aircraft in MSFS are reasonably easy to fly. You can start on the end of a runway with the engine already running. Push the throttle forward, pick up speed, lift the nose and you're flying. Reduce throttle to about 2/3 when you're as high as you want to go. A joystick is best, a game controller works. Remember, MSFS is tailored to give the new simmer the best experience possible. Enjoy! Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
August 16, 20205 yr A warm welcome! There are several settings you can change to make the Sim more beginner-friendly. 1. You can change the flight-model to ‘Easy’ mode which makes flying considerably easier until you’re more comfortable using the ‘Realistic’ flight-model. 2. You can disable all forms of damage modeling. 3. There is a comprehensive set of tutorial flights which last hours in total completion time, and I’ve read completing them gives you a fairly good foundational understanding of all aircraft systems, flying and navigation. 4. Aircrafts have an interactive checklist system, which you can scroll through and the list automatically changes your camera view to that specific checklist item so you know what to look for. Or you can auto-complete the checklist and it’ll take care everything for you. 5. You can enable an approach pathway to the runway you intend to land at, which means you just need to focus on staying inside those boxed path to ensure a smooth approach. These are just what I can remember off the top of my head. I’m sure there are more ways to make the Sim more beginner-friendly. Blue Skies.
August 16, 20205 yr There are tutorials in the Simulator that will help with general knowledge needed to fly. There are things you can check to make flying very easy such as automatic rudders, copilot handling atc and I think you can even let your copilot make turns for you and you only control the pitch. So, yes, the Simulator WILL accommodate someone new to ease them into learning to fly. Dangit @FAZZ3 you beat me to it lol Edited August 16, 20205 yr by Lotharen letting Fazz3 know he beat me to it lol

Push the throttle forward. You know, just like we did in subLogic's flight simulator on the Apple 2. As beginner friendly as it can get. Under the assists menu you can make a few things easier if you wish. This is pretty much all you need to know to get started. Where you go from there is up to you. Hook Larry Hookins Oh!
