Thanks for your effort, I wish there was a way to duplicate the profile from the X56. I've managed so far (during my short play time) to configure the axes on the stick, and the throttle. Not sure about the camera settings though, as there are quite a lot.

Even if sharing files seems complicated right now, if you have a description or screenshots of the main functions, that would be great 🙂

Best thing is to have a look at Squirrels tutorials, here is the link to No. 2

No. 3 covers Camera binding. All very good.

Hello. I have the same issue. Have waited for this sim for a while and my X55 isn't recognized 😞

If you could kindly share the profile - that would be great!

Thank you.

How did you do that? Fo me it's dead as a rock (which is hilarious given the fact that it worked like a charm during Alpha/Beta)

Dont forget to share your XML files boys, i dont want to go trough the pain of configuring it 😛

I can’t get the X55-throttle or stick to work properly. They act as if they are digital so it’s nose dive or full climb in the sim even . When changing sensitivity the stick and throttle work on the graph as they should. I have recalibrated joystick but no change and it works fine in other sins and games.

any suggestions, have I missed something obvious?

Well, i had the driver HOTAS installed but i figured out that it was,not working at all. So i uninstalled the driver. Went into regedit and deleted all entries with H.O.T.A.S.

Re installed old driver for x52 (Saitek_X52_Flight_Controller_7_0_53_6_x64_Software 2016) , computer restart. Then in controll screen i was able to assign the keys.

I cannot copy the xml file in input directory to another location it is blocked so a lot of flightsimmers must manually assign the joystick keys.

Regards!!

How do you share those xml files? They are blocked. Curious how to do that!

Try TakeOwnership:

https://www.howtogeek.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Take-Ownership-Menu-Hacks.zip

Add it to ur context menu by unzipping it and running Add variant.

Then right click on the folder that doesn't grant u permission to access and click on Take Ownership... Not sure what the drawbacks are of this, but it SHOULD work in theory.

OK so you guys are having much more success than me, how do I even get the X55 to show up?

Ive tried copying the X56.xml file, renaming it X55 and inserting the GUID from the driver but product ID is a guess and It refuses to even acknowledge there is an X55 in here. I have opened a ticket with Asobo but who knows when or if that will be addressed.

Hmm, that's strange. For me, it shows up (as two controllers, stick and throttle), it's just none of the buttons are mapped. I'm assuming you've done the usual check to make sure that they're plugged in and have the latest drivers installed.

Make sure you are mapping only the axes, and not the individual up/down, left/right functions.

I am a fool. In my defence though I searched for pitch and it didn’t show the axis setting with the button assignments and as sensitivity showed my joystick working I did not see my mistake.

Thank you for putting me straight.
