Real-time aircraft?

This delay actually is a good idea. I don't what to see people practicing whatever action on real flight in real time in MSFS.

No, i doubt it has anything to do with "security reasons", as anyone can look on Flightaware and at least a half dozen other websites and see the same information. The reason that has been given is that the Flightaware data is only used for the AI traffic schedules and routing. The sim controls the AI aircraft when on the ground, taking off and landing. Many RL aircraft do not transmit ADS-B data while on the ground, unless either required by the airport or the airline. The spatial  accuracy of ADS-B  can often not be good enough to correctly show the location of taxiing aircraft. Thus, if ADS-B data were used for  taxiing aircraft, they might wander off the taxiways and park inside the terminal.

That isn't that bad, sometimes they can be up to 45 minutes behind what happened in real life.

I've done quite a bit of testing today in the London area to test a few theories. Some complaints i've seen on other forums and comments on Youtube have been about people spawning at an airport to just watch planes and saying hardly anything is turning up, if anything at all. I've observed similar spawning at Heathrow for that purpose, sometimes nothing and sometimes very little even after 30 minutes.

I had noticed on previous flights that the longer into the flight I went, more traffic seemed to appear so I decided to do short flight from London City to Stansted before flying over to Heathrow. By the time i'd arrived at Stansted there were easily 14-15 flights around the London area with several dropping in and out over the Heathrow direction.

So my experience so far is that having a bit of a fly around somehow seems to produce more traffic than just waiting stationary at a location.

Just as a validation of my observations yesterday i've done the same this morning. Spawned at Heathrow with no intention of going anywhere and sat awaiting traffic, only one plane appeared.

Yet when I do a little flight around the area, this time from London City to Northolt, all of this appeared within about 8 minutes.

You are supposed to "see" the 50 nearby planes to your position. In my case I'm quite far from that. I barely see other traffics in big airports hub, so to answer the original questions, yes, I see other traffics, although not sure if they are real players or live traffic, definetely I don't see as many planes as I should.

Edit: Now it's the first time I really see live traffic working. Many planes around. I don't know if it's because the server needs some time to populate the skies or what.

I see similar - it is somewhat hit or miss depending on the locale whether I see traffic densities that are close to what the FlightAware data.  My guess is (like a lot of other things) this is an interesting and promising feature but they haven't worked all the kinks out yet.
