August 21, 20205 yr Is there a way to switch between between windowed mode and full screen with a keystroke or hot key assignment? IIRC, FAX, P3D and X-Plane I could use a key (I think ALT) to switch modes. I miss this! Can it be done in MSFS? August 21, 20205 yr If you use that key combination when flying with realtime weather the weather will vanish, and you will have clear skies all the time with a 3 knot wind, its a bug supposedly, so you may still have to use the function in the graphics section.🙂
August 22, 20205 yr So just a question to people who are doing this. When you ALT - Enter out of full screen mode does the window mode return to its original window size? Mine does not it is always greatly expanded in the vertical, meaning I have to drag it around and resize it. I can’t work out how to fix this. August 22, 20205 yr There is no fix - its just one in a string of inexplicable poor decision making in the design of the backend of MSFS. Every single graphics setting for the sim actually affects setup dialogue screens. There is no separation. So for people with crashing issues based on graphics - it is common that you can't even get back to the settings to re-adjust (crash loop) not having a .cfg file to reset master graphics. As soon as I press start I am on 99-100% graphics because my desktop resolution is 4096K. And yes massive windows that have to be resized if the sim resolution is lower than my desktop resolution. What TF were they thinking???
