August 22, 20205 yr Anyone having this issue where it won't descend? I'm trying to descend so I select my initial descent altitude and I select v/s mode and select my v/s and nothing. I also tried managed descent mode as well and nothing. Bah. Running i5-9600K @ 4.8ghz - 32GB DDR4 3200mhz - GTX 3070.

It works using V/S and "Managed Mode", it's just a little sensitive. Be patient, the plane might need a second to engage the descent. Just dial in the desired altitude and engage managed mode once. A few moments later, descent will initiate. - Currently giving X-Plane 12.10 a spin on Shadow PC. 10 years with X-Plane now, since 10.20

While I found the AP to be a bit erratic to say the least in my first hours, I think once you get the hang of it, it works pretty well. V/S seems to disengage after a while (sometimes), but managed mode always works for me. - Currently giving X-Plane 12.10 a spin on Shadow PC. 10 years with X-Plane now, since 10.20
August 22, 20205 yr I personally use Op descent / climb. Just set your target altitude and pull on the knob. The aircraft will calculate its VS while keeping current airspeed.
