September 10, 20205 yr Author Yesterday it was short, KVNY to KHND (LA to Vegas)... KFFC to KBJC (ATL to Denver) is another route I’d like to fly. Could my machine specs be at play? September 10, 20205 yr I just did a Longitude flight from KSFO to KDFW. Took 3+ hours end to end. GPS nav then followed ATC direction to a waypoint and did an ILS approach as assigned. Live weather and live traffic. Flawless. Like this aircraft. Just needs a few tweaks to be great. September 11, 20205 yr I get CTD in the Longitude when clicking ATC response options. Click to respond to instruction like acknowledging a given approach and then the sound stops and the sim just vanishes. Rick D http://g5flyer.tumblr.com/
September 11, 20205 yr Funny, the Longitude is one of the few jet aircraft that I can actually make a flight with (the other being the 787). All others cause hard system crashes or CTD. Here are my thoughts: 1. Turning on the wind indicator on the PFD for upper layer wind speed/direction causes CTD -Never had an issue with this. 2. Skipping waypoints on a long flight which was a selling feature of the sim has the aircraft popping back up in the new location with all settings in the cockpit back to start (AP speed at zero, altitude settings at zero, etc) - Haven't tried this with the Longitude, but I've seen it with other aircraft. Think it affects all planes. 3. In mid flight all glass gauges go dark with no way to turn them back on. The Longitude has no backup traditional gauges so your dead in the air especially at night - Have never seen this, but sound like others have ID'ed the issue (generators). 4. Sim acceleration causes the autopilot to oscillate in flight so this is not an option - I do get this (slightly), but again I see it on others too (like the A320).
