August 23, 20205 yr My internet went out a few days ago and the sim couldn’t get to the main menu, which meant I couldn’t enable offline mode. It just sat at the loading screen with the TBM. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Not sure if it’s intended behaviour that you need a connection to access the menu or if it’s a bug that needs reporting. I’m running the Steam edition.
August 23, 20205 yr With Steam titles, you have to enable the (Steam authenticator) offline mode while you still have an internet connection. Yeah, should have mentioned, Steam was in offline mode and I successfully played other games whilst waiting for FS to sort itself out. FS did actually start, it just couldn’t get further than the TBM screen. 24 minutes ago, Richard Sennett said: I did see that vid whilst googling for the issue - he uses his mobile data, but I’d like to know if blocking play without the internet is intended behaviour. Putting the game in offline mode beforehand is fine if you have a planned outage, but not great if it’s an unplanned one. You shouldn’t have to tether your mobile internet to get to the main menu.
August 23, 20205 yr I didn't buy on Steam I bought in MS Store. If I try and run it Offline it tells me to Insert Disk and I can get no further than that. Frustrating for us Low Bandwidthers. Edited August 23, 20205 yr by Will Fly For Cheese
