More FYI,Installed the v2.3 Build 208 update and seems to work well with both FS9 and FSX installed, exports both plan-formats.Leave FSB2 setup as you have it for FS9. After installing the update, simply go to Options -> Settings -> Under "Export To" -> Check "FSX GPS" (Bottom) -> "Save Config Options" button -> Restart.I just made a simple plan from KJAX to KORL and FSB2 exported it in PLN format to My DocsFlight Simulator Files as well as the newer XML format in My DocsFlight Simulator X Files.

By the way if you do not have this program, any flightplan you have in FS9 can be used in FSX. Just browse to your FS9 flightplans folder in the planner.Mark.

Indeed, FSX will read both PLN and XML formated flight-plans. Is there an advantage to the XML plans, other than keeping up with xml code used throughout the rest of the Sim?

I tried loading the FSbuild XML flight plan into my FX flight.FX would not load it.So, I loaded the FSbuild plan that was exported to the FS9 flight plan directory and FX read it ok.But, the VOR freqs and waypoint IDs are missing in the logfile.
