Can not change weather in flight

Featured Replies

Fellow pilots,

what is the reason i can not access the weather tab in the tool panel? Its greyed out.

- I am in freeflight

- I am flying alone (no multiplayer activated)

- I start with custom time and weather (not "LIVE")

- I am not in a group of players.

But the weather tab is simply greyed out. Whats wrong? Any Ideas?

I had this too. It was probably because I had lauched a saved flght.

Relog, I have noticed that you sometimes need a fresh game for certain things to take hold. So set it the way you want to fly. Then relog into a fresh game with the settings ready to go.

A new login did not change anything.

might be the custom time, but for me when i click live weather it goes automatic to real time wherever i am.

it is probably some simple setting somewhere..

you sure you play online????

You have to set Multi-player to either “all players” or “off”. Then you can freely set any weather and daytime settings you like (even live weather and daytime)

Try setting it to " All players"

  • 4 weeks later...

I'm having the same issue here.

Online Functionality is "On", Multiplayer is "OFF" and I am not flying a saved flight. I have tried launching as Administrator and have tried launching with third party anti virus disabled.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled via Steam.  Nothing worked.

Yaaaay!  I just found a solution.  I was turning Multi Player "Off" on  the global Options/ General/Data page.  I assumed this is what everyone meant when they said that Multiplayer must be disabled.  I have learned that it's OK to set the global multiplayer setting to "On" but it must be  turned  off on the "Flight Conditions" page.  I can now change weather from the custom tool bar.
