Does ATC Not Give You Proper Vectors and Altitudes Anymore?

Recommended Posts

Have seen the same bug with ATC asking for cruising altitude at or slightly before approach. It will always use the filed cruising altitude even if I have requested a different alt during the flight.

Have also seen a bug with it telling me to expect vectors for ILS when I have an approach programmed and filed. When it does this it forgets about you afterwards. I just fly the filed approach.

I've tested requesting too low a cruise when heading toward mountains, which was denied as expected.

I haven't been bounced back and forth between frequencies the way FSX did.

Apart from those 2 glitches so far so good with the ATC. Cancelling IFR and requesting straight in is my usual failsafe, tested it and it does work fine.

I honestly do not recall if cruise altitude was 11k or 10k at this point, either or. However, the airport was not that far away, so yes eventually they told me to drop down to 8000. The airport was at 5500 elevation, and I was coming in over mountains.

I set both departure and arrival in advance in the menu, then in the air I requested the IFR.

I believe I was flying from Bert Mooney (KBTM) in Butte, MT to some airport nearby, but I wasn't paying much attention to be honest.
