Flickering shadows - normal?

Recommended Posts

I'm making a separate thread for this, as I'm not sure it's related to the fuzzy shadows issue in my other thread. Have a look here - do you have this as well? Ultra preset on, with TAA:

Intel Core i7 8700k clocked to 4.6GHz, GTX1080Ti, 32GB DDR4 RAM, MSFS installed on NVMe drive, Windows 11, Dell 27" 60Hz Monitor + Dell 24" 60Hz Monitor. Resolution 1920x1080. Game Mode on, GPU scheduling enabled (Win11). MSFS settings: High-End for airlines, Ultra for GA.

I haven't seen anything like this. What settings are your shadows at?

Everything on preset Ultra. Switched to High as well, no difference.

That does look strange, does it do it in every aircraft? Have you tried any other games to check for anomalies, to make sure it's not your GPU?

I got this some times also, but I think it come when the shadow falls to flat an the surface.

On some upright mountains I can see it also

No overclocking here.

I've got kind of the same issue. It happens mostly in the dark  around the softer edges of the light and it ruins the nighttime cockpit.

Ultra Settings although nothing seems to affect it.

Couldnt really see it too well, if you are referring to what was happening at the top right of the screen, might be glass reflections. Tried turning reflections to OFF to compare?
