September 16, 20205 yr Hi Community, I would like to create my own static camera view outside the airplane, e.g. a better tower view in P3D v4.5 (or to have a better view over the airfiled, a position, I want to create myself to have a nicer look at airplanes without paying for ezdoc or chaseplane) Is that possible and how can I do it exactly. Thanks for any ideas.
September 17, 20205 yr Without any add-on I would see what you can set up or optimize based on whats available from the P3D SDK. September 17, 20205 yr Gerald -- Actually, in the menu in P3D v5 HF2, click on Views, then View Management, then Manage Cameras. Regards, P. September 18, 20205 yr Author I tried, went into "Manage Camera", selected "Spot" and changed some values on the left. Not all values were changeable and not always I had the chance to place this view really where I want it to be. And also after saving I got a different view than I selected before ? Is there a simple method to create an own static "VIEW" inside P3D v4.5 e.g. for a better TWR position and also to have it shown by a keypress afterwards ? Thanks
September 21, 20205 yr Author Thanks Gerard, can I define for this new view a keyboard-shortcut to simplify the view-change ?
September 25, 20205 yr Author So, as far as I can see, me as a user of P3D v4.5 has to spend a lot more money (more than P3D costs) to buy a third-party software like EZdoc or ChasePlane to setup own VIEWS (e.g. 3 different views onto an apron of an airport) ? Or is there an easy way to customize the views allready existing (with all parameters like heigt, rotation, angle, koordinates) ? Thanks for any ideas Top
September 25, 20205 yr Commercial Member 7 hours ago, Steff Fabiano said: has to spend a lot more money ( Not necessarily. LorbyLiveTraffic is freeware and offers runway observer cameras that are created at runtime. Those can be moved around and saved to the LLTX database. The app just needs to be running after that, and you can access these obsever cameras from within the normal simulator right-click-view-menu. Granted, this is is a bit over the top, since the app has a ton of functionality beyond this - its actual purpose is to create traffic, not just watch it. But you can turn all that off. If you want an easier way to tweak the built-in simulator cameras, there is a Lorby tool for that too - but it is payware. Best regards Edited September 25, 20205 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
