Living in South Florida, I resemble that remark. I grew up in Seattle, so I know what you mean. I asked my middle daughter if she wanted to go see the everglades, and she said. "look" and drew this on a piece of paper. __________________________________________________________________ "There, now I've seen the Everglades."

But now span a Cessna at Paro airport in Bhutan (it is one of the default custom airports). Then turn off live weather because it will be likely raining cats and dogs with live weather and the clouds will be at runway level and have rocks in them. Now you can actually see reduce your fuel load and kick out the passenger so you can get at least some resemblance of climb performance. Now try and get over those nearby mountains without icing up before you get close to halfway up.
September 28, 20205 yr Author great replies, thanks. I have a better understand now how folks from Oklahoma have a 'mind blow' when they see the grand canyon. September 28, 20205 yr I was flying in Central California yesterday, and even though I could see the mountains off in the distance, that was just a whole bunch of "nothing" too. And greetings from a fellow KPDX'er. 😀 We really do have a slice of heaven here in the PNW. Even if heaven is raining all the time.
