My internet connection speed is very slow.  Takes about three days to download MSFS 2020.  Had it working fine until I had a hard drive failure whereas I lost everything.  Got a new computer and tried to download again and got up to about 70% when the download stopped and Windows started downloading some other update.  Not associated with the sim.   Attempting to download a third time  and got up to 35% when it backed up to 27%.  Let it keep on downloading and got up to 33% and now it backed up to 27% and increasing again.  I'm not talking about  the download percentages for each individual section, but rather the total download percentage.  The rate it's going now, it will take another couple of days minimum to complete, if ever.

Any body experience this and is this normal?  Have never seen a download lose ground like this.  Really getting frustrating.  Thanks for any ideas.

You are not the only one complaining about this.. unfortunately..
