A320 External Power

Featured Replies

Since the latest update, I am unable to use external power when at an airport gate.  This is a problem as I cannot do anything and even Ctrl E will not give engine start.

Is it just me and does anyone have a solution?

I was having the same problem. No external power. This was at KJFK. I switched to KSFO and it started up fine, but then power dropped after about 10 minutes. Tried again, and it worked fine. Maybe try switching airports?

Sometimes it will randomly work but there is no pattern.  I would guess it is part of the 320 electrical system coding that shows up in a number of issues

I know it didn't require it before, but have you used the ground services to actually have the ground power there?  does the button show avail when not turned on or is it blank?

Just tried it out of KDFW no issues here but I would try what ShawnG recommended I didn't but had no issues.  But I also have all my mods currently uninstalled for testing purposes.

I have tried it multiple times around the usa.  Tonight when I first tried at KORD on C concourse, the flashlight was working and the ground power came on.  I shut down the sim and tired once again and it did not work nor did the flashlight.  I rebooted my system and tried again.  Nothing.  Same thing with and without mods.  It seems really random.

It shows available but does nothing.

A solution for me was to remove the MSFS SDK.  Now it seems to work.  I reinstalled the A320N Mod and it did it again so the mod is out for me at this time.
