  1. started a flight (pmdg 738) everything worked fine. could disengage brakes, steer with a tiller, rudders worked fine. landed 5 hours later and couldn't stop. brakes didn't work, rudder didn't work. rudder pedals and brakes look fine in msfs controls, and in external view they work fine as well. Tried this with PMDG, Fenix, and Piper Arrow, all with the same effect. I feel like I might have triggered some feature that I didn't know about? I restarted the machine as well, same thing. I guess I should reinstall, but was wondering if anyone has had this happen? thx mb
  2. I built my machine about 4 months ago and it was a great experience. I had never built anything electronic before, but there are plenty of videos online to show how everything fits together. I looked at a those over and over so that I knew exactly what to expect. True the downside is that if something is not working you’re on your own, but biggest problem for me was how to get the fans all synced up. As someone earlier said, with anything prebuilt you’re not going to get exactly what you want. After looking at your specs the only advice I would say is bump up the wattage on your PSU. Better to have much more that too little. I have a 1200 watt PSU just to give me some room if I want to upgrade my GPU.
  3. I had thought of this as well and if I had a dedicated desk I would do it but I live in a very small apt so the desk I have doubles as a work desk so the breakdown of all the sim stuff needs to be on the quick and easy side. I might try and 3d print something. I had this same problem With the bravo and alpha clamps. Thankfully they came out with wider clamps… anyway thank you both for the the suggestion, I very much appreciate it!
  4. Hey all, so I would love to get that TM Boeing yoke but my desk is thicker than the clamp can handle. Any ideas out there as to how I could get it to work on my desk (it’s about 2.5 inches thick), or if anyone else has had this problems? Thank you for your time! mb
  5. I purchased the Feelthere KLGA and now it is laying on top of the existing stock KLGA that comes with msfs. I know that you can turn off the bespoke airports but not sure how to turn off a non bespoke airport? Just to make sure it wasn't the installation process of FeelThere, I downloaded a KLGA airport from flightsim.to and it did the same think (layered over existing airport) https://www.dropbox.com/s/8r25irl932k27j9/Screenshot 2023-07-21 124945.jpg?dl=0 anyone have this trouble with other airports? thank you so much mb
  6. From my experience you might be able to do that (plug and play) with the small planes (172, arrow etc) but anything with an airliner is going to be tough sledding without either using spad/AAO or really getting deep into the control menu within MSFS. In order to fully utilize the hardware of the bravo, you're going to have to spend some time customizing it unfortunately. However, there are plenty of videos that show for example, how to set up the bravo TQ for the pmdg 737, and there are plenty of videos showing how to use spad.next as well. At times you will ponder if you are doing more button programming that flying, but once you get it done, it is well worth it.
  7. I’m not sure what was in that folder (LRW) but deleting that worked! Everything seems in working order. I downloaded two profiles and everything seems to function so thank you thank you thank you for being so patient with my problem. These SD profiles in conjunction with AAO really makes a huge difference in the whole flight sim experience!
  8. so for that particular profle for the Gueseli single engine, there was no script. but i did try the 737 that he did. I also noticed that i might not have had the latest AAO verison, so i downloaded that, and now when i tried to upload the script via the AAO menu it give me the error message Import failed: configuration system failed to initialize. I also noticed that I have both folders lorbysi-content-hooks and lorbysi-content-fippanel in two places: the community folder and the AAO program folder. not sure if that means anything. Also, since installing the latest version, i cant seem to change the port on the SD device: https://www.dropbox.com/s/flyzbbksuhvbgko/WEB api dialog.JPG?dl=0 I can click the SD plugin but no local host or local ip comes up, and if i click set port nothing happens. this is new since i updated. also thank you for your patience with this. I'm sure you have alot of requests from customers so I really appreciate your time.
  9. so I did experiment with changing the port number. making sure it was the same on both AAO and the stream deck. The problem still persists. here are some screen shots that detail it: As an example here is a profile for a simple single engine plane from Guenseli off of flightsim.to the top image is what it should look like, the bottom is what appears on my SD https://www.dropbox.com/s/pfyppmtvsc0wd0g/profile vs sd.jpg?dl=0 so most of the buttons are functioning: lights alt, brakes etc. but the things that are not functioning are items like flap position, wind, EGT, trim position, fuel level. So becuase some of the buttons work, it seems like there is a connection between SD and AAO, yet if I install the "test connection" button from the AAO SD plugin, it is not green. I will also add that the above profile from Guenseli and that there is no script associated with it. I have made sure that i am running the latest version of AAO, SD, and the AAO SD plugin. It seems to me that because some of the buttons do work, that it is not a port problem, but maybe im wrong? thank you for your help. mb
  10. I believe I changed it from 9080 to 6080 but I will try a port that is a little out of the ordinary. Thank you so much for chiming in, I really appreciate your time.
  11. What I meant was that I changed the port on both AAO and SD just to make sure that wasn’t the problem. The only thing I did between the first time I used the profile and the second was that I installed a few more profiles for Fenix, FBW, etc. I just want to reiterate that the buttons do work: I can switch on lights etc on SD and they move within MSFS. Its just that certain buttons that might for example show the APU dial won't show up. and that the buttons on the SD do not reflect the position that they are in in MSFS upon startup. Again, I'm not sure if that is how the SD works in conjunction with AAO. Upon startup will all the switches in SD read the positions the buttons are in in MSFS and switch to reflect those positions?
  12. So I just downloaded an excellent PMDG 737-800 stream deck profile last night. used it and I will say it was amazing. Everything worked perfectly. I loved the HSI indicator and all button positions reflected what they were in MSFS. Fired it up this morning, and only some of the button images were on there. Others were black, but they did work. Also the button positions seems out of sync: Light buttons on SD were in the on position but in MSFS they were in the off positions, but the buttons on SD still worked in that the affected the position in MSFS. I reset the port on both AAO and SD. There is definitely some talking going on between all three (SD, AAO, MSFS) but it seems like SD is not getting feedback from MSFS in terms of button position, alt, or HSI. Ive tried restarting several times, but am at a loss for what it could be. All my firewall settings seem to be good and the AAO and stream deck plugins are updated as well. I did place a "connection test" button in the SD panel and it does not show up as green so something is def. not working thoughts? thank you for your time., mb
  13. so I purchased the BS KA 350 and do love it. I did a trip from Italy to Ireland and had to emergency land because fuel was getting low. I got the block fuel amount from Simbrief. But I think the profile might be wonky. how does everyone plan their trips in the KA350i and what performance tables do you use?
  14. not sure what plane you are trying to program the throttles for, but if you go to Spads discord, Les has made several videos on how to set up the bravo. If you don't want to travel to discord, here are some vids on the YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/c/LesOReilly
  15. Bill, I was having the same problem. I know this is a few months later and you might have figured it out, but in case you haven't, FBW set up a great page with all the LVARS and simconnect calls: https://docs.flybywiresim.com/fbw-a32nx/a32nx-api/a32nx-flightdeck-api/ go down to External Lights section and you will find everything you need
