Need som help with flying to EHAM ?

Featured Replies

I am unable to  make a nomal flightplan with MSFS2020 to EHAM.

Example departure from Frankfurt to Schiphol and straight in ILS 27.
Whatever I choose as a arrival procedure the flightplan is not normal.

Here are some examples:
Unable to make a flightplan straight in to ILS27 via Pampus.
Also sometime there is a waypoint which is 600NM somewhere else in Europe when making a flightplan from FRA - SPL?
Also not able to remove such a waypoint form the flightplan in the FMC

Maybe it's me ?

What happens if you use an external planner like Simbrief, and then import the plan into MSFS?

not a fan of the in-game flight planner, just usually get the route then enter it in to the airbus FMC

Just flying there from Bordeaux. In game planner looked OK after trying a lot of apporaches and runways . When the plane got there the first time the local waypoints were all over the placce and the plane flew in near figure of eight pattern to try and hit them. This time am using Simbrief and have not intervened in flight paln in the game at all. will see how it goes in about an hour. Have flown a lot out of EHAM and that was fine. Using the Simbrief app to drop the fklight plan into the MSFS2020 folder makes the whole process a lot easier. Just have to load the flight plan in the game from that file and it automatically loads into the A320 PFD

Made the flightplan with Simbrief and seemed correct.
But as soon as I program ILS27 EHAM in the FMC the flighplan changes again making the plane do figure skating instead of a normal straight (EDDF/EHAM).
I give up

I notice for some airports the approach is a triangle like in your screenshot. There is nothing you can do to change that in the sim because those approaches are fixed based on the game's database. However, the plane should still follow the approach fine if your plane can turn fast enough and you could still land using ILS.

For the redundant waypoint, you can remove it if it is before the descent leg (before the green color). Just click on the waypoint dot on the map, not the list, and select remove.

What do you mean with the waypoint dot on the map  for removing ?
Not in he Flightplan in the FMC ?

Most of the time the plane is not able to turn in that sharp
Sorry for asking

Anoher thing is that around Schiphol it's ignoring the altitude set in the AP..
It is just decending until i crashes..
For now I am done with this........pff

I mean removing the redundant waypoint from the fly planning before you start your fly. I havent tried doing so in game. Note that this only works for the blue leg (before decent).

I fly the DA62 so I can make really sharp turn. A a big airliner wouldnt be able to turn that fast.
