October 6, 20205 yr Hi Ray... I have recently been experiencing delays to 'contact' requests - delays of around 20 seconds! I can fly quite a distance in that time and in danger of passing a crossing point or other transgretion... Any ideas, please? Old enough to know better... ...young enough to do most of it again! October 6, 20205 yr Moderator Hi Ken, Not enough info. What sim? What Ai package are you using? All flights or just a few or one? Recent problem? If so, what has changed? Are FSUIPC and MakeRunways up to date? Ray (Cheshire, England). October 6, 20205 yr Author Sorry! P3Dv5 - UTLive - Each flight over last 'few' days - Added some additional airports from Orbx - FSUIPC v6.0.1 - MakeRunways 4.9.1 From loading P3D; loading FltPln then starting RC - delayed responses from 'request clearance' and all subsequent contacts! October 6, 20205 yr Moderator Ken, have you run MakeRunways and rebuilt the database in RC4? Needs doing after adding new scenery. UTLive has far fewer aircraft than AIG which I use without a problem. If IFR flights are you getting Wx and then requesting Clearance before engine start? Then clearance to taxi to the runway. Is the distance to the runway being shown correctly? Are you handed over to Tower when close to runway? Finally, try a flight from a default airport or one not added recently. If that’s okay it all points to latest airports being the issue as database has not been updated. Ray (Cheshire, England). Maybe Ken should just check his sound drivers are up to date? Intel i7 6700K @4.3. 32gb Gskill 3200 RAM. Z170x Gigabyte m/b. 28" LG HD monitor. October 7, 20205 yr Author Ray, yes to all of the IFR items you list...will try a flight from default airport (although I am pretty sure I have already done that!). Ian, I will run a check on the sound driver as you mention (Realtek Audio). Thanks for your input. Old enough to know better... ...young enough to do most of it again! October 8, 20205 yr Author Ian, audio driver is current... Ray, ran a flight from Inverness (although I do have Orbx Scotland) and the RC responses were coming back in a few seconds! Computers!? Condiser this subject 'resolved'. Thanks. Old enough to know better... ...young enough to do most of it again!
