LatinVFR scenery performance issue

Featured Replies

I've been having issues with LatinVFR since the release of KMIA.  Come to find out with all the troubleshooting and trying out various things with FS2020 totally unrelated to LatinVFR I forgot my 'Terrain Level of Detail' setting was set to 'MAX' (200).  No other sceneries seemed to have an issue but I noticed the roll rate using glass cockpits wasn't the same as first release (got sick of the slowness but didn't equated the problem to a settings issue) which prompted me to investigate. When others posted they weren't having the issues I was having I had to think about what I changed.  Finally settled on a hunch.  After I lowered the 'Terrain Level of Detail' setting to '110' KMIA and KSAN had no problems and the glass gauge issue was resolved.  My reason for leaving the high settings was the LOD issue after patch 1.9.3.  Once someone found a fix in the official FS forums I forgot to lower the setting.  So thought I'd post this for anyone having trouble with the LatinVFR sceneries.  The scenery doesn't to well with 'Terrain Level of Detail' set to 200.  As we all are unofficial beta testers sometimes we can be our own worst enemy.

I told you a long time ago that it was something in your settings. I've have to play with the two LOD sliders and depending on where I fly, the number can be as low as 100 or as high as 200.

I'm glad that you finally took some action and now you will have better performance.

Enjoy!

@Dillon I’m glad you were able to get LVFR running well again. I’m very pleased with their airports in MSFS and hope to add several in the coming months.
