RAAS profile - create with Aerosoft Airbus Professional

Featured Replies

Hi Bryan,

Can you explain the correct way to create and link a profile to a specific aircraft please?

I have the locked version v3.0.0.0 installed  in P3Dv5 HF2 and RAAS is working without issues.

Except when I look at the RAAS settings its labelled "B747" at the top.

I have created a profile and save it for the Áirbus and even if I link it and set it as default, whenever I select the Aerosoft Airbus  in P3D, the RAAS profile that is by default loaded is the B747.

I have tried unlinkingng the B747 profile but still no luck. I am sure I am not doing something right.

Any thoughts?

Hi Bryan,

OK, v3.3 Locked version is now installed.

With the Airbus A320 loaded in P3D, the default RAAS profile is the "B747".

So I open the profile for the "Airbus A320 Professional CFM" and check the box "Default".

The RAAS profile opens and then I select the "Link to current model" option.

And then finally I Close and Save settings for RAAS.

If i shutdown and restart P3D v5 and select the Airbus aircraft, when everything is loaded, RAAS still loads the B747 profile.

How do I get the default profile to be the Airbus A320 Professional when I load that aircraft in?

Thx

Mark

Hi Mark,

It sounds like you're doing everything right.  Maybe you have a write permission issue or something is blocking something.

The loaded Profile is located here:

C:\Users\****Your user name****\AppData\Roaming\RAASPRO\RAASPRO.cfg

You can open it with Notepad.

You can see the default profile listed.  You can even change it if you like... just use one of the names in the Profile folder:

DEFAULTProfile=STOCK

I just tested it worked for me

1. Created new Profile.  Typed in new profile name.

2. Click Yes when RAAA asked me if I want to link to the current model.

3. Saved and Closed.

I reloaded P3D, loaded the airport, the profile's name was the one I created.

Hi Bryan,

OK it appears I dont have a file named RAASPRO.cfg.

I have a profiles folder and an ini and a log file but no config file present.

Should I create one and enter DefaultProfile=Aerosoft A320 CFM Professional?

Are there any other parameters that should sit inside the RAASPRO.cfg file?

Thx
Mark

Hi Bryan,

Unfortunately, that's not working for me.

I created a brand new profile for the A320. I called it Aerosoft A320 and it offered to link the aircraft which I did.

I changed some settings then closed and saved settings and shut P3D down.

Restarted P3D, loaded the Aerosoft A320 aircraft , selected the RAAS option from the P3D Add-on menu and the profile that was displayed was the B747.

A couple of things to note.

I do not have any Raaspro.cfg file as you indicated above

The Raaspro .ini file continues to state the default aircraft "Aerosoft A320 CFM Professional" even though I deleted the profile for this

The profile .ini file for the Aerosoft A320 does contain a statement at the very bottom "Model.0=Aerosoft A320 CFM Professional"

Hi Bryan,

Sorry for the delay in responding. I was away a few days last week and just catching up on stuff including your reply.

Yes I can confirm that even in the .INI file it lists the Airbus profile I keep getting the 747 profile loaded when I start up RAAS from the Add-ons menu.

It seems that while i can switch to a different profile from within RAAS its not being saved correctly in the INI file.

Ever seen this issue?
