It tracks fine with the "stock" gps , as soon as i change over to reality xp it goes all wrong. Went back to v5 hf2 and no issues.....

This is normal behaviour when a P3D update occurs. Sit back, and Jean-Luc will issue an update when he can.

I upgraded to P3D v5.1 last month and have been unable to use my GTN complete. Both have blank screens as though they don't power up.

I have flight 1 agent and F1 configurator. Neither have an update feature.

I have wasted a lot of time updating whatever I can but the version of GTN complete stays at 2.21.

So please can you direct me to the configuration panel that you mention or maybe just let me know what I'm doing wrong?

I'm grateful for any advice.

I wouldn't qualify this as doing something wrong, but this is the Reality XP Support Forum and you're using another vendor product.

The genuine Reality XP GTN 750/650 Touch and Reality XP GNS 530/430 V2 products are compatible with P3D5.1 since day 1.

That is really interesting. When I bought this stuff from your site, I paid using an F1 wrapper so I thought it was all the same.

Many thanks for putting me straight.

I can't seem to connect the nav to GPS as well. Autopilot won't follow GPS with RXP gtn. I downloaded the latest version and I have p3d 5.1. I tried installing it in the phenom 300 and fa50ex from carenado, both same result. The stock GPS works though.

Greetings

Vincent

But have you also unzipped the downloaded .zip archive and then ran the unzipped installer?

If this is the case, can you please post the content of the RXP log files? (see user's manual for file/path)

I downloaded the full installer from flight1; I didn't have a zip file.It was a F1 installer.

You do have the latest version.

You're also most likely running P3D5.1 "as admin" which is really not recommended at all regardless of the RXP GTN. There is no need to run anything as 'administrator' on your computer, unless you are administering things and require a software to administer things on your behalf.

Our solution tries to make sure it prompts you for granting the access when needed, that is when it needs to write the panel.cfg or RXP ini file. Any add-on requiring you to run as admin must be carefully re-examined because there is no need too. UAC is there to protect your system, and software like FS don't require bypassing UAC. You might manually grant access to your user account to some FS subfolders, like scenery and aircraft, in order to help add-ons with a need to write there, but that is all.

More importantly, when you run a software as 'admin' you are simply bypassing the Windows mechanisms which are there to make software running on your computer running fine with UAC. That is all of a sudden, an expected path to a registry key changes without the software knowing about, an expected access right to a folder changes as well, and the software (FS, add-ons, etc...) fail.

Can you please try running the sim not as admin and see how it goes?

Besides, it is not working on your system with these 2 aircraft but can you confirm it is working with a default like the Mooney non-G1000 version?

I am totally confused as to where to get this update. What is this RSS thing? Appreciate the help. Can I not just click on a download link somewhere? I had to reinstall the Carenado Saab 340 and the setup wizard installed the guage into the PFD display. I had it installed correctly before the reinstall.

Regards

OK I think I got it figured out now, I just downloaded the Red Plane installer from the website and ran it and I believe I am updated to the latest version. I am opening P3Dv5.1 now and will try the wizard again.

Regards

No joy. Wizard is not working in-game. I thought I used the wizard originally when I had everything working before.
