October 30, 20205 yr The white dot in the middle is stick and rudder centered. See, when you move stick or rudder it very gently rolls, elevates, or yaws. And if you need it there is full stick and rudder at the extremes. I'm loving the new sensitivity dual ended sensitivities that the patch introduced! In fact, for me it's out with FSUIPC and in with Asobo's new idea! 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. October 30, 20205 yr Good to see someone on this forum is satisfied for a change. Could you explain the Neutral a bit more please. I had a painless install this morning despite loosing internet connection for nearly two hours. Incidentally I did not remove anything from my Community Folder. After install I switched off my computer, disconnected power and then rebooted. I then removed some items from community folder (there were updates for some) reinstalled updates, again rebooted and started sim. So far no CTDs and am delighted with new update. Hope you don't mind me putting my experience here as I thought it might get better seen under 'control sensitivities' and so many unfortunates seem to be getting CTDs. Back to Neutral. I'm a bit confused as to what this does?
October 30, 20205 yr Would be nice if they included a bit of info to help us understand the new sensitivity options. For me it’s wing it and see... Thomas Derbyshire
October 30, 20205 yr Think of "Neutral" as a centering adjustment. For example, if the little white dot in the x/y graph is not centered but your yoke or joystick is centered, and you do not have an physical means or calibration routine available to physically adjust the centering of your yoke or joystick, you can use "Neutral" to move the dot to the center to compensate. I had to do that with my CH yoke on ailerons. Previously I had to increase the dead zone to stop it from inadvertently entering the Autopilot death spiral if I accidently nudged the yoke a teeny bit and didn't notice it. Now that the dot is properly centered, I can reduce the dead zone. ...jim ASUS Prime Z790-E, Intel i9 13900K, 32Gb DDR5 Ram, Nvidia 3090 24Gb, Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500 GB and 1 TB, Samsung Odyssey G9 Ultrawide 49" G-SYNC Monitor.
October 30, 20205 yr Thanks Jim. That is a very clear description and answers my query precisely. I did notice on my first trial flight after update with the Skyhawk172 that she had a tendency to roll to the right. I'm using the Honeycomb yoke and will investigate the centering facility tomorrow.
