P3Dv5.1 No HTML

Featured Replies

After months of v5.0 use I updated to v5.1, client, content and sdk, and after figuring out the "Please correct errors or cancel" message that was blocking the use of Options UI (hint: it is a Weather problem unrelated to Options) I finally started to use P3Dv5.1 when I was stopped by the lack of GSX or SODE menus.  They are both working, GSX displays the customize parking and settings normally, SODE DLL connectivity is good and will render one line messages but in neither case do I see any boxes with menus in them.  I know the platform changed from Scaleform to HTML5 and it appears to me that all is good EXCEPT I don't ever see a HTML5 object.

I checked the google world for any leads or hints and got nothing.  Anyone got any ideas or helpful guidance?  Thanks.

I had that happened to me today while I was disabling AI model labels in UI - it just won't let me leave the screen after unchecking - Got your error.  I was like W T F, I am worn out of complaining the bugs on here and LM forums.  I manually went to prepar3d.cfg and set the labels to zero.  I am worn out of all this c r a p.  We all are public beta testers paid LM to access this doo doo of a release.

Solved the missing HTML5 issue.  First I had to press the nuke button and delete all generated files after first backing up all the targets.  Then I replaced items one by one, all addons and the configuration file.  HTML5 continued to work after the nuke option and after i replaced all my stuff so i went looking deeper and it turns out that there is a file in the programdata folder uipanel.cfg that was not updated by the 5.1 installer and was missing the entry for HTML5.

Problem solved.
