x box controller and Chaseplane P3D V4+5

Recommended Posts

I placed the following in Obyx but got nowhere with this question

""

I don't use MSFS much but when I do --- I really like to use my wi-fi X box controller to control the camera

I bought Chaseplane a while ago and have tried to use it -- but I just don't like the need to use my keyboard

and with my sight - and memory - it takes a while to get the right key

Soooh -- has anyone worked out a system that allows the  X Box controller to be used with Chaseplane ??

Yes. In terms of view presets I have a system that I make a profile for each type of plane. On the d pad. Tap left for captain view in vc. Tap up for overhead view. Tap down for pedestal. Etc. I also create views like this for the outside. Then I’ve created various pan/move assignments with a sticks and other buttons. You can YouTube it. I remember seeing some good tutorials.

Thanks for the tips - I am wading through the Utubes and also learned it can be used in all

the views - internal and external as well as drone

Yes, works well. The only problem I have is that, if you use the controller in wireless mode, the controller switches off after a few minutes if you do not use it. I have not been able to find a way around that and had to resort to using the USB cable to prevent it from switching off.
